• Katherine Logue - Executive Director

    Katherine Logue, a Waco native, graduated from Waco’s Richfield High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School in 1987.

    Before joining the DRC, Katherine served as the Executive Director of the Rotary Club of Waco. Previously she was the Director of Career Services at Baylor Law School, Staff Attorney for Justice Bill Vance, Briefing Attorney for Justice Frank G. McDonald on the Tenth Court of Appeals, and in private law practice with the Waco firm of Sleeper, Johnston, Helm & Fontaine. She was also an adjunct lecturer in Appellate Procedure and Legal Writing at Baylor Law School and in Legal Research at MCC.

    An active community volunteer and leader, Katherine served as president of the board of Meals on Wheels Waco and continues as a weekly volunteer delivering meals. She served as board president of Waco Habitat for Humanity and has served on the boards of Family Counseling & Children’s Services, the Cameron Park Zoological and Botanical Society, the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District, and the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.

    Katherine is married to Jack A. Hill, professor emeritus of Religion & Social Ethics at TCU.

  • Anna Clark - Board Chair

    Anna Clark-Martinez has been an advocate for children and families in Waco since the early 1990’s. Serving as a conservatorship worker and supervisor for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (Child Protective Services) Anna learned to value the Dispute Resolution Center and its service of mediation and conflict resolution for families in crisis.

    Respecting the dignity of all concerned while firmly advocating for the emotional and physical safety of children is a fundamental motivation for her life’s work. She has been an active volunteer in the nonprofit community for the past 15 years. Ms. Clark-Martinez is a graduate of Baylor University, and she also completed post graduate work in the area of international relations at Vrieje University in Brussels, Belgium. Most recently, she has actively served on the boards of CASA of McLennan County, the Waco ISD Education Foundation and the Youth Chorus of Central Texas. She and her husband, Phil Martinez, have two children currently attending Waco ISD schools.

  • Anna Futral - Treasurer

    Anna Futral is a graduate of Baylor University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Taxation.  She built her career as a Certified Public Accountant at JRBT, where she worked in the Tax department for over ten years, then she served as Executive Director for CASA of McLennan County for six years.

    Anna returned to JRBT in 2023 as the firm’s Director of Operations.  Anna also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Baylor University, teaching a Public Service Internship course in the Political Science department.   

    In addition to the DRC board, Anna’s community involvement includes serving as the Chair of the McLennan County Families & Foster Care Coalition.  She has also participated in other committees or roles such as McLennan County Nonprofit Network planning committee, Waco Young Professionals Executive Mentor, and Prosper Waco’s Waco Snapshot Report committee. She is a graduate of the Leadership Plenty Institute, a recipient of the McLennan County Young Lawyer’s Association’s Liberty Bell Award and a Waco Under 40 Honoree. Anna and her husband, Trent, are former foster parents and adopted their three children from foster care in 2016.    

  • Chris Jaeger - Secretary

    Professor Chris Jaeger joined the Baylor Law faculty in Summer 2021, following two years of service as an Acting Assistant Professor of Lawyering at NYU School of Law.  He teaches Contracts I and II. He joined the Board of Directors at the DRC the next year.

    Chris earned his B.A. with honors in psychology from the University of Missouri.  He then graduated Order of the Coif from Vanderbilt Law School, where he participated in the Vanderbilt Legal Academy Scholars Program, served as an Articles Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review, and published two student notes on topics bridging law and psychology.

    Following law school, Chris clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit for Judge Duane Benton. He then returned to Nashville, where he enjoyed a varied law practice at Stites & Harbison, PLLC, until his academic interests drew him back to Vanderbilt for his Ph.D in psychology. 

    Chris and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of two children, an nine-year-old aspiring artist and a five-year-old aspiring superhero.  

  • Angela Cruseturner - Chair

    Angela Cruseturner is the Senior Assistant Dean at Baylor Law School. In this role, she coordinates Baylor Law’s academic support, admissions, alumni relations, career development, information technology, and marketing efforts.

    Angela received a B.A. in history from Baylor University. She attended Baylor Law School and received her J.D. in 2002. She joined Pakis, Giotes, Page and Burleson, P.C. in Waco after graduation and then served as a staff attorney for Judge Bill Vance at the Tenth Court of Appeals.

  • John Palmer

    John Palmer is a trial attorney, mediator and arbitrator. John’s diverse litigation practice ranges from a state law domestic and toxic tort litigation practice to federal district court cases. John serves as a mediator and arbitrator in probate, family, general civil litigation, personal injury, and employer/employee disputes at the state and federal court level.

    John’s experience in federal court trial practice began when he served as a briefing attorney for retired United States District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr. from 1988-1989. Since that time, John has been involved in a variety of federal cases including those sounding in diversity, federal questions, school law, and class action lawsuits. John is admitted to practice law in the state of Texas, all Texas federal district courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.

    John’s state court experience includes jury and non-jury trials in cases involving property disputes, custody, divorce, adoptions, personal injury and property damages. John is the former president of the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers, and the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association.

    John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and received his law degree in 1988 from St. Mary’s University School of Law. After his clerkship with Judge Smith, John has practiced law with Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, P.C., Waco, Texas. John taught as an adjunct professor at Baylor University School of Law in client counseling and at McLennan Community College in family law.

    John is a credentialed distinguished mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. He received basic mediator training from the Attorney-Mediators Institute in 1992, and family mediation training from Sam Houston State University in 1998. He became an ADR Fellow at the University of Texas School of Law Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution in 2002. John is approved to serve as a mediator in the Federal District Court, Western District of Texas, Waco Division. John chaired the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Texas from 1997-1998. John was president of the Texas Association of Mediators from 2001-2002. In 1998, John received the Waco Peacemaker’s Alliance, “Jerry Burks Peacemaker of the Year Award”. John was the recipient of the Justice Frank G. Evans Award (ADR Section, State Bar of Texas) in 2001. The Texas Association of Mediators (TAM) recognized John’s efforts in promoting and furthering the use of mediations in Texas by presenting him with the Susanne C. Adams Award in 2017. John served as chair of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association (TMCA) and currently serves on the TMCA Board. John has previously chaired the Waco-McLennan County Settlement Week committee from 1992-1996 and the Federal ADR Committee for the Waco Division. John was a charter member of the McLennan County Dispute Resolution Center board of directors, served as its inaugural chair from 1996-1997, and has served on several terms on the board.

    John served nine years as president of his eleven years as school board trustee for the China Spring Independent School District.

    John lectures and authors papers on federal court practice, ethics, divorce mediation, aspects of mediation in general, and serves as a volunteer trainer in a variety of mediation settings.

  • Michael Brown - Vice Chair

    Michael is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a shareholder at Jaynes, Reitmeier, Boyd & Therrell, P.C., a CPA firm in Waco. He works in the firm’s Tax Department and leads the firm’s Business Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Services practice. Michael graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in accounting and a Master’s in Taxation.

    Michael has been involved professional organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, where he served as a member of AICPA Council; and the Texas Society of CPAs, where he has served as a director, a member of the Executive Board, chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, chairman of the Young CPA committee as well as serving on a variety of other committees. He is a trustee of the TXCPA’s Accounting Education Foundation. Michael has also served as President of the Central Texas Chapter of TXCPA.

    Michael has received awards from the TXCPA including the Chairman’s Citation in 2009, Rising Star and Outstanding Chairman of the Year awards in 2012, and Young CPA of the Year and Chairman’s Special Recognition awards in 2013. He attended the AICPA Leadership Academy in 2010. Michael was named one of CPA Practice Advisor magazine’s “40 under 40” CPAs in 2014.

    In the Waco community, Michael is a former President of the Dr. Pepper Museum and Free Enterprise Institute, is on the board of the McLennan County Dispute Resolution Center, and is on the board of Greater Waco Legal Services. Michael is married to Caryn, and they have two sons, Lee and Ed.

  • Robin Baird

    Robin holds undergraduate degrees in industrial management and aviation technology. He graduated from the University of Houston law school in 1981 and has been Board Certified in Family Law since 1992.

    Robin practiced law in Houston until 1986 when he joined the Pakis, Cherry, Beard and Giotes firm in Waco. From 1992 through 1999 he practiced with Cherry, Davis, Harrison, Montez, Williams & Baird, and from 1999 through 2006 with Montez, Williams & Baird. Since 2006 Robin has operated the Law Offices of Robin Baird and has served as General Counsel to RAM Aircraft, L.P. in Waco. Robin has participated, as both mediator and advocate, in hundreds of mediations, and is a frequent volunteer mediator at the McLennan County Dispute Resolution Center.

  • Dustin Chapman

    Dustin Chapman is a lifelong resident of McLennan County. He graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Political Science and from Baylor Law School. He began working for McLennan County in 2010 and was named the County Administrator in 2015. He serves on numerous boards in the community and is active in both the Leadership Waco and Teen Leadership Waco programs. He is married to his wife, Patty, and they have twin 3-year old daughters.  

  • Stephanie L. Tang

    Stephanie Tang is an Assistant Professor of Law at Baylor Law School, teaching Family Law. Before joining Baylor, Professor Tang was a partner at a family law firm in Chicago, where she specialized in all areas of family law.

    She obtained multiple certifications as a mediator, fellow with Collaborative Divorce Illinois, and a Certified Financial Litigator with the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators.  Professor Tang received a B.A. in Psychology and Legal Studies with Honors from Northwestern University in 2012. She then graduated from University of Illinois College of Law in 2015, Magna Cum Laude with pro bono notation. Professor Tang was formerly the Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council.
